Circe

Greatest exponent of elegance

After more than 120 creations of unique models, Tamarit continues its search for the greatest exponent of elegance on two wheels. After the success of Jade, a true mechanical jewel, the time has come for another motorcycle that is characterized by its attention to detail, Circe.

Exclusivity and differentiation

Put up for auction

Tamarit's corporate philosophy is to prioritize exclusivity and differentiation. Therefore, to sell one of their most iconic creations, they could only partner with one of the most prestigious auction firms in France: Artcurial.

Hours and dedication

The value of detail

The passion for what’s unique and the taste for elegance, were the premises used to build a motorcycle that will once again revolutionize the landscape of classic motorcycles worldwide. A work worthy of admiring for hours in order to appreciate each of its details, for which the Tamarit team has spent many hours and dedication.

Baroque inspiration

Moving lines

Pure light and movement. The color scheme combined with the shiny chrome and brass, was inspired by the works of the Baroque era. As if fresh from a canvas.

In addition, its figure and elements overlap creating a sense of movement that does not end in one piece, but continues into the next. An example is the seat, which is embedded and continues into the tank.

Handcrafted process

Between the heavenly and the earthly

Works like Circe start with an idea and become a reality through a 100% handcrafted process, with outcomes that often surpass what the creator had imagined. High precision in the methodology resulting in unique motorcycles, virtually unrepeatable and for which the borders of the divine become a reality.

As a work of art inspired by the 17th century, Circe combines the technique of chrome plating with brass machining, which gives it that jewel-like state that shines with its own light.

Classic, beautiful and daring

Circe

Once again, the name that gives life to our motorcycles is no coincidence. Known in Greek mythology as the sorceress of the island of Eea, Circe turned anyone who dared to offend her into an animal by using her sorcery. This power and control made her one of the most respected goddesses of her time.

Classic, beautiful and daring are some of the adjectives this unique piece shares with the goddess Circe. Inspired by the paintings of the Baroque era, this bike embodies the magic of a goddess you will not be able to take your eyes off of.

Carbureted engine

The heart of Circe

The heart of Circe emits a sound that is easily recognizable as the classic engine par excellence. A vintage carbureted Bonneville, recognized as a time machine that takes us back in time and remains to this day a benchmark in the industry. A fully restored engine for the occasion that makes it the best version of itself.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

This project is based on a Bonneville 900 carbureted engine that has been opened up and refurbished with a series of modifications that make it as good as new. Our team, when it is a premium project, is in charge of doing the soot cleaning, adjusting valve seats, oversized pistons, grinding cylinders, valve seals, timing chains and planning cylinder heads. You can learn more about this process in "The heart of Tamarit".

Rear monoshock

New silhouette

From the result that can be seen today, everything has been designed from scratch. And among it, there is a rear monoshock, and even the new base on which the seat rests. This provides a new silhouette, very different from that offered by the original model.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

When fitting the monoshock, we were forced to completely redo the chassis. This new chassis that our team created had to be taken to a laboratory to check that the reinforcement made in the chassis was adequate.

Lenticular rear wheel

Greater aerodynamics

The addition of a lenticular rear wheel to the project is not only an aesthetic improvement but also a stability improvement. This type of wheel, by preventing air from passing through the spokes, reduces turbulence and provides new aerodynamics to the bike.

Also highlight the choice of a smaller front wheel, a considerably narrower size than the rear wheel, a classic 50's look.

The rear lenticular wheel has been custom made for the project, it has been made from scratch adapted to the size of the hub and anodized.

The main part has been chrome plated and a custom gold trim has been created, which was fixed with screws afterwards. A unique design made by our team, as lenticular wheels do not have this rim added.

Leather seat and padding

Handmade

Circe has been completed with the creation of a new handmade leather seat. A work of craftsmanship that also includes padding of the same material. These have been flush with the sides of the tank, which means that two holes have been made in the place where they were to be placed to fit and equalize both surfaces. In this way, both the seat and the pads are part of the lines of the tank.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

Making this seat in one piece was a challenge, the bottom of the seat is fiberglass and with temperature changes can move, arching the top. In fact, the upper part is very difficult to fix, it can not be drilled as it goes on the tank, so a system of tabs was created to place it.

Classic but technological

Circe's secret

Like true artists, we have hidden a secret in this work. Our insignia is located under the front end of the seat where the ignition key is hidden. By simply bringing the key close, the bike starts without the need to insert it. Once again, we incorporated high technology without having to sacrifice the elegance of classic motorcycle aesthetics.

To make the tank padding flush, a hammer was taken and the holes were tapped and then caulked to make the base to fit the tank padding.

The complicated part of the seat upholstery is having to put the receiver of the electronic key before upholstering. This receiver has been placed at the front end, where just by approaching the plate that works as an electronic key, the bike makes contact.

Simplified wiring

Electronics from scratch

Something we had not done to date, was to place the speedometer on the front side of the bike. To this end, all the electronics were simplified and made from scratch to make this possible. In addition, the wiring is housed in a new small metal box at the bottom of the bike.

Motogadget's Motoscope Tiny is a very compact odometer that measures speed digitally and accurately displays through its indicators: turn signals, neutral, lights and alerts. In addition, you can switch between the different information on the display: total distance, trip of the day, on-board voltage, etc.

All the bike's wiring has been simplified and routed inside the chassis so that it remains hidden. The battery has also been relocated to a new metal box at the bottom of the bike.

Motogadget ECU with mobile application

The latest technology

The brain of the bike is represented by the most avant-garde ECU on the market, also accompanied by turn signals (front and rear) and the ignition key. Thanks to the level of technology implemented on this bike, it is possible to monitor its status in real time, with an app that can be installed on the smartphone.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

The brain of Tamarit, the control unit we put on the bikes, has the ability to connect to your cell phone and provide a huge list of information: alarm system, driving assistance, dashboard, AutoSync, diagnostics, history, GPS Tourlog, last trip and maintenance.

Premium Springer chrome fork

High-end

Circe sports a new front suspension that replaces the standard fork, a chrome Springer fork, the top of its range. An improvement that provides a modern and elegant aesthetic, a premium component stands out for being the most resistant in its category.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe
triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

Springer forks usually give problems when they break, so we have chosen some for the Harley Davidson model, which are the most resistant on the market. Having avoided the first problem, the real challenge was to adapt them to a Triumph. To adapt these forks we had to modify the head tube and the wheel pins so that they could fit perfectly.

On the other hand, the springs that come with the fork were removed to be brass plated and in the picture you can also see the speedometer bracket that was made from scratch to be able to anchor it to the fork.

Cooling system inside the chassis

Temperature control

Nothing has been left untouched, for Circe a new cooling system has been created, in this way the oil cooling is done through the chassis, which lowers the temperature.

Custom exhaust

Unique in the world

Specially made for this project, 100% custom high exhausts, unique in the world. A protective headlight grill with a gold finish has also been designed for this chrome exhaust.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

To adapt this custom exhaust, it had to be taken to the laboratory, where different bends were tested and each weld had to be perfect, fully pressurized.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

The brass trim that appears on the exhaust was made by hand in the workshop, welding one by one the metal bars and was given with a radial until it was flat, in order to integrate it into the exhaust.

We did not want to miss any detail, so we have brass plated all the hardware of the bike.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

Along with the Springer fork, came some springs that we have brass-plated ourselves to adapt them to the aesthetics of the bike.

triumph bonneville t100 caferacer tamarit circe

As for the rear lighting of the bike, LED lights have been inserted that not only function as brake lights, but also as turn signals.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

Another component that can be seen is the K&N power filters, made of oil-lubricated layered cotton offers up to 50% more air flow than traditional paper air filters.

When carrying out some of the modifications, the chassis has had to be reinforced and passed the pertinent tests by a laboratory that accredits its resistance.

Kustom Tech deluxe, custom-made, aluminum handles have been incorporated. Their compact size and smooth lever give them a distinctly retro look.

triumph bonneville t100 caferacer tamarit circe

The tank trims are made of suede and flush to match the surface of the tank.

triumph bonneville t100 caferacer tamarit circe

At the controls of Circe, we find a chrome Board Track handlebar reminiscent of classic racing handlebars.

triumph bonneville t100 caferacer tamarit circe

On this occasion, a golden chain has been placed, which follows the aesthetics of the rest of the details in golden color.

triumph bonneville t100 cafe racer tamarit circe

In Circe an extension of the swingarm was made with a total extended length of 15 cm/6 in.

Finishing details, the gear shifter has been custom made to fit the aesthetics. The original part has been removed and a new one has been made in the workshop from scratch.

By simplifying all the electronics of the bike, the battery has been relocated to a metal box at the bottom of the bike, so it looks better integrated with the aesthetics of the bike.
