MaYa1

A scrambler style bike designed and transformed by Tamarit Motorcycles.

MaYa1 story

Just a week before the state of alarm in Spain began because of the Covid-19, Tamarit open its new workshop. At that moment of joy we were not aware that project #61 would be the last to enter our workshop. The lockdown caught us by surprise but that did not prevent us, just the day before everything started, of went for the bike that would become known as MaYa a few months later.

It was at this opening ceremony, where the brand new owner of MaYa made us know that he wanted to get a Tamarit motorcycle. We had already met him on other occasions, so it was a joy when he told us that he was going to be part of the Tamarit family officially. This is how many future projects come to us. Many of them already know us and come to the events we do, until they finally decide to be the main focus of one of the presentations we make in our showroom.

Each motorcycle is one of a kind.

We really like to pay attention of the details in our work, as well as take care of the relationship with our clients. In this case, the relationship with the owner of project #61 was flawless. We are use to receive many calls from our clients asking about each modification or to answer questions about changes afterwards, but in this case it was we who had to call him.

“The client gave us free rein and trusted our taste to carry out a change at purest Tamarit style”.

For this Triumph Bonneville, we looked for make a Scrambler transformation that had not a radical style, which kept those well known characteristic but had softer and more elegant lines. With this goal in mind, the first thing we did was lower its height a little more than the standard from home. Something to highlight also, its seat split in two.

“The exhaust system was handcrafted by Tamarit and placed on the opposite side from the usual one”.

To get the look you can see in the photos, the electrical system was simplified as much as possible. And speaking of the electrical system, this motorcycle also incorporates the new Motogadget electronic key that works using Bluetooth technology and, without a doubt, gives it a plus. From the German brand, we also incorporated odometer, digital dashboard, turn signals and push-buttons control.

The owner never revealed the reason why motorcycle #61 was nicknamed as MaYa, we would have to wait for him to confess it. Something that we can tell you about is that the colors of the motorcycle are inspired by a certain feline that lives with him. Anyway, we have to recognize that we are more than satisfied with the final result and with the chosen colors.

The photo shoot was made in a quarry of reddish colors that undoubtedly help to highlight its Scrambler style and where MaYa moves like a fish in water. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we have enjoyed the process of this Triumph bike project.
