Le Mans

A caferacer bike designed and transformed by Tamarit Motorcycles.

Le Mans History

The way this project came to us is not the most common. Usually, it is through one of our forms where clients contact us to talk about their ideas and tell us if they have a motorcycle to build the transformation. If they do not have it, the Tamarit team looks for the most suitable one and makes the transaction for the client or on other occasions they already have a Triumph on which to carry out the transformation. In any case, the bikes are in good condition for lack of a few changes.

This was not the case with Fabio, and it could be said that it was a “stroke” of luck. The owner of motorcycle #62 came to us with a problem with no apparent solution and if there is something that motivates the Tamarit Motorcycles team it is a challenge. The motorcycle had suffered a blow to the rear and had been taken to a dealership where it had been given almost as a total loss due to not having an “alleged” repair. It only took a little for the Tamarit workshop to find the solution and for Fabio to be able to enjoy his motorcycle again. Of course, the story did not end there.

Once Fabio’s Bonneville SE had the chassis repaired, he does not hesitate to carry out a project with us and finally get the desired look on his Triumph motorcycle. And that’s how began one of those projects that the Tamarit team likes so much. Fabio gave us complete freedom to design his motorcycle and with the first proposal we submitted to him, he stayed. The #62 motorcycle, known as Le Mans, has been designed in the Café Racer style although with the particularity that the wide handlebar was kept since the client measures 1’90m and was going to be more comfortable to ride it this way.

“Despite the difficulty of working under the restrictions of an alarm state, in this project we have managed to finish and release our new Jarama seat.”

Among the parts included in this project, we find the already usual Ruby cover set or the mini odometer from the German brand Motogadget. It is true that we are passionate about the neoclassical range of Triumph motorcycles, but we also confess that perhaps the Bonneville SE, which served as the basis for the project, is the model that has the most aesthetic difficulty due to its 17-inch front wheel. In this case, we were able to modify this “defect” by changing said tire for another with a thick double profile.

“The proposed design for this Café Racer involved a risky combination, but as we have said before, Fabio trusted in our experience and did not hesitate to accept the proposal.”

In the final result of Le Mans the colors white, red and blue stand out. Also, along with the golden rims, they certainly create a unique combination. Despite being a risky project, the final result has delighted Fabio who did not doubted to congratulate us on the work done on motorcycle #62.
