Many times we speak of the Tamarit family and the importance that our community has for us, the history of this bike is an example of closeness of customers with the team. This story does not start with a personalized quote form or a phone call, there are times when conversions come unexpectedly and from known customers. Although we must confess that it wasn't very unexpected, since we promoted this project to be able to continue innovating in a new concept for Speed Twin.
The Speed Twin model of Triumph bikes is relatively new to our workshop and it was only recently that we had the chance to start developing parts that would adapt to the needs of this bike. But after their experience in the conversion of Dreams, the Tamarit workshop team was still eager for new concepts related to this model and this is how project 75 was born. This project was created with the intention of introducing a concept that we were missing in the Speed Twin motorcycles, the Cafe Racer style.
As we mentioned at the beginning, this bike came from a well-known customer of Tamarit, Josep had already been in contact with us on several occasions as he previously had a Street Twin and had bought several parts with us. We had a very good relationship with him, so when we found out that he had purchased a Speed Twin bike, we had full confidence to ask him to lend us the bike to develop parts on it.
Among the parts to highlight that were included in the project is the Suzuka seat, designed exclusively for Speed Twin motorcycles. The bike was used as a presentation of this new seat, which is now available on our website. Another of the parts developed especially for the 75 bike have been the Paris side covers, custom made and with a racing style. In addition, we have also added old known parts from Tamarit's catalog as our exhausts, the belly pan, the chaincover or the eliminator kit.
For the colors of the bike, it was finally decided to paint the bike white in combination with our chrome color and adding some detail lines in gold tone. A composition that, without a doubt, has pleased both the owner and our team.
Project 75 is known as Paris and the number painted on the cowl has a lot to do with our neighbor country. This bike has meant a before and after in our workshop, as did the May 68 in France, and especially in Paris. The number represented on the bike has been inspired by the biggest student revolt and general strike suffered in France, which influenced great changes in society in the following years.
