Triumph Thruxton 900cc

Racer culture

The Thruxton 900cc of 100% British origin, gives shape to this parallel twin that represents one of the bikes with more character and style within the Modern Classics range. Its characteristics make it a very complete motorcycle that is an ideal base for any type of conversion. Its spirit embodies the purest Racer culture and makes it the dream of any 21st century biker.

Origin of the Thruxton 900cc

Leaving a mark

A few years ago, Triumph launched its interpretation of the bikes that followed the most classic Cafe Racer lines. The recipe was simple, it was based on the bestseller, the Bonneville, and was given a more racing look, without a doubt, in the style of the 60's: with semi handlebars, rounded cowl, higher exhausts and a more set back footrest.

An extension of the neoclassic's performance was one of several offerings of this successful model that was on the market for 15 years and is one of the big reasons for Triumph's line of air-cooled neoclassic bikes leaving its mark on an entire generation.

The Thruxton 900 quickly achieved its place in the market and that prompted the English brand to make some improvements, seeking above all to improve comfort. Together with the Triumph Bonneville T100, these two models formed the backbone of the whole neoclassic range of bikes that dominated the classic motorcycle market at the beginning of the 21st century.

Thruxton 900cc engine and range

Ready to roar

Its 865 cc 4-stroke parallel twin engine with air cooling ensures a powerful ride at the controls of a unique and legendary piece. It has a 5-speed gearbox with oil clutch and chain drive. Its competitive performance is due to its 68 hp at 7,400 rpm and a torque of 69 Nm delivered a little earlier, at 5,800 rpm.

Numbers aside, we can fill its precious 16-liter tank with 95/98 unleaded gas and start making those two British megaphones roar.
