Miura

A Tamarit for Triumph

MIURA is Tamarit Motorcycles' interpretation of Triumph Originals, the international customization contest for Triumph. It takes a Scrambler 400 and transforms it into a competition piece conceived from weight reduction, technical precision, and a defined Spanish identity.

This is not a decorative preparation. Every decision responds to a real off-road use and a specific vision of what a contemporary Scrambler should be: lightweight, functional, and built with a level of detail characteristic of a unique creation.

Triumph Scrambler 400

Tamarit Motorcycles, representative of Spain

From Elche, Alicante, Tamarit Motorcycles has been developing custom motorcycles based on Triumph for twelve years. More than 200 projects for clients from over 40 countries have consolidated a way of working that combines design, artisanal manufacturing, and applied engineering.

For Triumph Originals, Tamarit has been selected as representative of Spain. MIURA is its first transformation based on the Triumph Scrambler 400 and brings together the work of a multidisciplinary team with a clear ambition: to present a technically solid and visually unmistakable application.

Second kit of Spain

Designed to enjoy every acceleration

The palette of MIURA comes from the second kit of Spain. Upon seeing it, the team identified a color combination with the necessary presence to bring it to a competition motorcycle.

The choice was also a statement of confidence. Tamarit was convinced that Spain would win the World Cup and decided to incorporate those colors into MIURA before it began. It is not about reproducing a jersey, but about translating its visual code to surfaces, volumes, and finishes designed for the motorcycle.

The tank trims structure the whole and the two stars integrated into the design recognize Spain's two world titles with a clean and measured execution.

The team

A project built as a team

MIURA required the participation of more than 15 people from Tamarit Motorcycles. Designers, technicians, manufacturers, and specialists have worked together in each phase, from defining the riding position to the final adjustment of the components.

The result meets the house standard: an exclusive motorcycle where each part has been chosen, adapted, or manufactured to fulfill a specific function.

A Spanish vision of the Scrambler 400

Triumph Originals

Triumph Originals invites designers from different countries to reinterpret a Triumph from their own culture and design language. The theme of this edition, Time Capsule, aimed to connect a contemporary creation with a historical reference.

Tamarit took competition Scramblers and off-road bikes from the mid-20th century as a starting point. Direct, robust machines optimized to traverse uneven terrain with the minimum possible weight. MIURA does not replicate that past: it takes its principles and applies them to a current platform.

The reference includes events like the Big Bear Run, the 530-mile Greenhorn Enduro, and the Baja 1000, competitions that demanded reliability, autonomy, and an easy-to-maintain mechanic. It also incorporates the lightweight culture of the Isle of Man races from the fifties and the imagery of Steve McQueen in The Great Escape.

The development of MIURA

Designed to function on land

The development of MIURA began with a technical priority: reduce weight without compromising off-road usability. 85% of the work focused on lightening the assembly and removing components that did not add value to its function.

The speedometer and non-essential electronics were eliminated. The result is a saving of nearly 25 kg compared to the standard bike and a final weight of 155 kg.

Design principle: only retain elements that improve control, response, and durability in off-road terrain.

MIURA was born months before the World Championship, from the conviction of Tamarit that Spain could achieve the title. Its visual language takes as a starting point the colors, contrasts, and energy of the Spanish National Team's jersey. 2 stars from 2 times the best in the world.

Miura

Making of

Before becoming MIURA, this Scrambler 400 went through a design process where every detail was studied to achieve a clean, balanced, and distinctive aesthetic.

From the first lines on paper to the custom-made parts, the goal was always the same: to create a motorcycle that conveyed character from any angle, respecting the essence of the Scrambler while incorporating the unmistakable stamp of Tamarit.
