A successful opening

Just a week before the state of emergency in Spain began because of the COVID-19, Tamarit opened its new workshop. At that moment of joy we were not aware that project #61 would be the last to enter our workshop. The lockdown caught us by surprise but that did not prevent us, just the day before everything started, we went for the bike that would become known as MaYa a few months later.

The happy owner of Malasangre, Samuel, wanted a radical change in his bike, a Triumph Thruxton 1200 R, and at the end of August began the classic contact between client and company, in which are exchanged first impressions, concepts, ideas and obviously first amounts of what it would cost a modification similar to the one requested.

Flawless

We really like to pay attention to the details in our work, as well as take care of the relationship with our clients. In this case, the relationship with the owner of project #61 was flawless. We are used to receiving many calls from our clients asking about each modification or to answer questions about changes afterwards, but in this case it was we who had to call him. The client gave us free rein and trusted our taste to carry out a change at purest Tamarit style.

Soft and elegant lines

For this Triumph Bonneville, we looked for make a Scrambler transformation that had not a radical style, which kept those well known characteristics but had softer and more elegant lines. With this goal in mind, the first thing we did was lower its height a little more than the standard from home. Something to highlight also, its seat split in two. In addition to that, the exhaust system was handcrafted by Tamarit's team and placed on the opposite side to the usual one.

A plus

To get the look you can see in the photos, the electronic system was simplified as much as possible. And speaking of the electrical system, this motorcycle also incorporates the new Motogadget electronic key that works using Bluetooth technology and, without a doubt, gives it a plus. From the German brand, we also incorporated speedometers, engine control units (ECU), turning signals and handlebar switches.

Feline

The owner never revealed the reason why the bike #61 is named MaYa, we will have to wait for him to confess it. One thing we can tell you is that the colors of the bike are inspired by a certain feline that lives with him.

The photo shoot was done in a quarry of reddish colors that undoubtedly help to highlight its Scrambler style and where MaYa moves like a fish in the water. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we have enjoyed the development of this project.
