Every motorcycle transformation we undertake means a step forward for the Tamarit team. Project #87, made using a Thruxton 1200RS motor, has involved the use of techniques acquired through multiple previous projects.
Designed to reach a new performance level. The Thruxton 1200 RS is Triumph's highest performing engine and the choice of those seeking a superior riding experience. A motorcycle created to enjoy the adrenaline rush provided by this legendary engine.
Ikigai stands out for keeping the performance spirit intact, but adapting new components that bring it closer to the Brat Style, providing a comfortable ride without losing any sporty performance.
The chassis has been trimmed, and the electronics area has been emptied and relocated. This technique is scarcely attempted by mechanics due to its complexity, but our experience with Triumph motors enables us to achieve such feats.
What’s more, even though the Thruxton 1200Rs is model equipped with high performance components, new exclusive parts such as Zard pipes and Kineo tires have also been added.
Handmade seat made with resistant materials that enhance comfort while riding.
Engine badges and tank emblem in gold, matching the color of the forks.
Kineo rim ends in gold color.
A new black finish sump guard has been incorporated.
Black should be the dominant color. Therefore, we tried our various finish combinations when putting together the Ikigai design. It is clear that a gold line serves to separate gloss and matt black finishes. That golden color, also seen in other components (forks, deposit’s, and motor’s emblem), is the second most dominant color on the bike.
Motorcycle number 87 is named Ikagai after his owner, a huge fan of Japanese culture. Ikigai is a Japanese term that has no direct translation. However, we understand it as “a reason to live”, or something that makes you get up in the morning.
Tamarit thrives off bringing smiles to their clients’ faces and seeing them enjoy the end result. That is exactly what happened with project #87.
We were surprised when Waldo, Ikigai’s owner, contacted us from a country where we had not yet sent any Tamarit creations. It is always a pleasure to add new countries to our list, and on this occasion it was Netherlands. Slowly but surely Tamarit is increasing its influence and reputation around the world.
Thanks for trusting us, Waldo.
Designed to be more comfortable, without losing an iota of esthetics and exclusivity.
More than 120 motorcycles built
Tamarit Motorcycles has become the leading builder of motorcycles with Triumph engines in the world, being a referent in its sector.
This expansion has given rise to what is known as the Tamarit family, a group of fortunate people who already enjoy the motorcycle of their dreams and have become part of what Tamarit Motorcycles represents.
The goal is to identify what style you want and how you plan to use the bike. We want you to have, not only a beautiful motorcycle but one that also covers your day-to-day needs.
