Ronin's painting

Before we begin with the description and story about the motorcycle codenamed as Ronin, from Tamarit Motorcycles we would like to apologise to everyone who took offense because the designs and colours featured on the fuel tank of this project. Many designs are created just because they look appealing because its shapes or colours, frequently without thinking about that maybe would have other connotation or even an offensive meaning towards certain collectives.

Once Ronin was introduced in blogs, social networks, fairs and magazines, we received many mails from Asia, asking about the flag featured on the fuel tank, which we painted just because liked it.

A scrambler style motorcycle with an urban character

Our apologies again and we reiterate that the reasons to include this design on the motorbike were purely aesthetics and we would never get involved in such a polemic topic that far from the motorcycles circle.

It is known that Tamarit Motorcycles works based on the client desires and tastes, but sometimes we are carried along by our imagination and we make our own creations, we let our creativity go without having to follow any rule or guide imposed by our clients.

2 in 1 Tamarit exhaust system

The motorcycle to transform should be no other but a Triumph Bonneville, the classic motorcycle we used to work with. Among the wide range of parts that we could apply to the motorcycle we chose the “Scrambler” seat that so good results gave with motorcycles like Neptuno and Pegaso, the stainless steel chain cover and the tiny turning signals both front and rear. We decided to apply to the motorcycle the Continental TKC80 tyres as well, even if their speed code could create some problems, were just the best choice if we aimed for a multipurpose and heavy duty tyres. The front of the motorcycle would be also equipped with our “Grand Bastard” front fender, the headlight grill and the Four Line bracket. Other elements that were modified as well were the rear view mirrors and the speedometer.

Despite the wide range of parts applied on the motorcycle, there are certain elements that stand out above the rest, one of them was the Bocanegra exhaust system, and 2 in 1 type that ends in a beautiful handmade muffler whose imperfections from the handcraft essence are its most peculiar feature. The wonderful and singular roar that provides is also remarkable. The other element that stood out along the exhaust system is the graphic works, which is spectacular because its lively red and pearl white combination, authentic gold leaf applied on the valve covers and the oriental style of the ornaments provides a stunning finish.

Ronin and its relationship with the ancient samurai

Once the project was finished, there was only left to nickname the motorcycle with a proper noun as the Tamarit Motorcycles tradition stands. The chosen name was Ronin, referring to the Japanese culture in general, and more accurately to the status that some samurai had back then, especially when they were wanderers or without a feudal lord to serve.
