A comfortable and urban concept

As the proverb says, “You reap what you sow”. That’s what happened to the Tamarit Spanish Motorcycles Crew when on May the 20th of 2017, held the public introduction of the finished project known as Superstar, a makeover performed on a Triumph Bonneville

That day, in the middle of all the tumult and uproar of a Tamarit’s Presentation, Javier, who was following us through social networks for quite a long time, introduced himself.

He decided to come here all the way down from Barcelona to say hello, to visit our humble place and to tell us that the next Triumph motorcycle that would be introduced in our headquarters would be his.

Javier, as a client, had a very clear idea of what he wanted. Despite being a huge fan of our works, he wanted something comfortable and urban, a motorbike for everyday, seat for two and restrained as much as possible.

Tarifa seat

That’s where the challenge started for us, up to date our Triumph makeovers had a close cut pattern; Café Racer, Dirt Track and Scrambler. Our motorbikes were almost pure, with a noticeable image and style, but none of them had the profile our client wanted.

We started to work on the main part, the Tarifa seat, a very minimalist Triumph part. No rear fender is needed, since it’s included on the same seat. The seat is made of fiberglass and polyurethane and is ready for driver and passenger. Original measures of the original seat were reduced and as always, following our Plug and Play corporate philosophy, the parts we manufacture are easy and fast to install in order to everyone be able to place them at home with a few wrench turns.

His favourite number: 03

Other part quite significant as well was the low and wide handlebar, which turned out to be a very ergonomic feature. In order to get the street track look but not cutting down on aggressiveness, the tyres chosen for this motorbike were the Mitas E07.

Moreover, a ¾ headlight was installed at the front, along with the front fender “New Little Bastard” to simplify the front part of the motorcycle, resulting on the big headlight and default fender removal. The exhaust system chosen was the Bocanegra, a stainless steel and aluminum 2 in 1. Left side of the bike was customized with the Tamarit “Santa María” side cover, and the right one featured our custom numbered ovalized plate with the number “03”

Other Triumph parts included on this Bonneville T100 Carb were: Bitwell grips, little turning signals, rear-view mirrors, Tiny speedometer, stainless steel chaincover and finally the Hummer sump guard to cover and protect the underside of the motorcycle.

The colour for the paint job was no open to debate, specially taking into account Javier’s words: he wanted a restrained motorcycle, so the only logical choice was black. In our opinion, black is the most sober but stylish colour available, which combined with an aluminum grey featured on the fuel tank, we achieved a classic look for Javier’s Bonneville T100.
