Malasangre

A cafe racer bike designed and transformed by Tamarit Motorcycles.

Malasangre history

Tamarit Motorcycles history projects use to revolve around the way the project is started, how the client got in touch with Tamarit, the donor bike, the client’s personality or obviously the features or tasks regarding the build itself. We can say with no trouble that MALASANGRE (spanish for Bad Blood) is one of the most complete projects ever done by Tamarit, since all the topics mentioned above are highlighted on this exclusive build made by our team.

The current and happy owner of Malasangre, Samuel, wanted a radical makeover for his bike, a Triumph Thruxton 1200 R, and by the end of last year August the classic introduction between parties began as usual. The first impressions, concepts ideas and obviously the first quotes were discussed, something that all the clients want to know beforehand.

First thing that had our atention was the way Samuel was pronouncing « Tamarit », and because he was trying to drag the word into English we think, he was always going for « Tahmma-rah-ii », and that’s how he earned the nickname « Samuel Tamarai ». Of course, these conversations held with the client are always to inform and connect, they don’t have a contract bond until the client wants to step in and start up the project. A step that Samuel did take for our pleasure, specially because it was accompained by the magic words that we always love to hear from our clients: « This is the budget I have, you can do whatever you want but surprise me big time with a top Tamarit build ».

« Samuel wanted to have a strong transformation and wasn’t lying at all, because several mods were installed on this bike that never were used before by Tamarit ».

The alarm got triggered again on Tamarit Headquarters and all the gears started to roll in order to create one of the finest bikes ever done by this firm.

Regarding the bike, Samuel wanted to have a strong transformation and wasn’t lying at all, because several mods were installed on this bike that never were used before by Tamarit such as the Kineo rims and horn-shaped filters provided by the Italian company FreeSpirits. The colours for Malasangre would be dark under customer requirement, but nevertheless we took some liberties by matching the colours for the rim spokes and the seat upholstery on a beautiful and elegant red Burdeaux.

The usual Tamarit parts to be installed on this kind of builds for the Triumph Thruxton 1200 R are for example the Tamarit Belly pan, valid for every model that it’s liquid cooled, as well as our Mónaco seat, a must-install part on all this Café Racer classic build and wants to follow a certain canon regarding a new generation Thruxton R. All the parts were painted according the theme and style of the bike, as well as the triple tee and the dumper, coated as well in black in order to match the EMD imported engine covers, also available on the Tamarit Motorcycles website.

A motorcycle customized on it’s entirety, specially the tiny details. All this things mentioned, Samuel wanted a distinct touch on the Thruxton, so we adapted our own-production exhausts we had initially for the Bonneville T120, which they resemble a lot to another best-selling part of the all time Tamarit catalogue, the BOCANEGRA exhaust, but this time on a twin version and on a 2 in 2 set.

Another part that was modified from the original design was the Dakota kit, this cover kit was forced to be cut because of the needed room for the new power filters that Samuel wanted to be installed on the bike of his dreams, as well as other parts that would complete the project would be the chaincover, the rear fender eliminator kit, the chaincover and the always ready front short fender. Other imported parts that were included on this bike project were the usual provided by Motogadget turning signals and the bar end mirrors.

Malasangre was released along the Laia project in our showroom as usual. The covering fabric unveiled once again a new project, shiny and aggressive, which joined the Tamarit Motorcycles family once Samuel fired up the engine and revved his new tuned up engine making shake the Tamarit Showroom walls a little along the Scrambler Laia.

« Just as somebody who wears sneakers for the first time right outside the shop, Samuel jumped in Malasangre and left burning tyre. ».

Samuel was able to transmit that excitement and peculiar way of living along a motorcycle and we could make a build up to the standards he wanted to achieve, which resulted in him being totally stunned and infatuated. Just as somebody who wears sneakers for the first time right outside the shop, Samuel jumped in Malasangre and left burning tyre.
