“Talking about this bike, I would like to speak not about Tamarit Motorcycles, but on a personal basis. Tamarit Motorcycles is lucky somehow, by not having (yet) an amount of work that still permits not making projects mechanically and in a soulless way. Although we’ve made more than 30 projects so far, we still get involved at 100% with our projects, applying on every part installed, every coloured line drawn with our feelings and emotions along with the client. 

That’s why each motorcycle that comes out from our garage becomes a friend, something ours, a travelling companion due the long time spent together and the ups and downs that leaves behind, and I say behind, cause most of our motorcycles we create leave for good, saying goodbye to them being aware that we will never see each other again, apart from a few exceptions.

Maybe you will think that is overused catchphrase, but for me, those motorcycles are my children, my legacy, and beyond the money issue and the economic reasons we work for, for me, the greatest reward I could get is the smile that appears on our clients face, when the time for unveiling their dream bike comes, surrounded by relatives and friends.

This happiness, excitement and joy overflow is one of the matters that pushes me to top each bike we make, to keep striving to make that unveiling always a smile-maker.”

The story that concerns us today, belongs to a very special bike for us. While all bikes are special for Tamarit Motorcycles, this one in particular, for its emotional charge could be said to be a couple of steps above the rest, as it is the first time that one of our creations returns to the workshop from where it left to be modified again, nothing more and nothing less than #1 THRUXT8N, Tamarit's opera prima, the bike that started 6 years ago, what we know today as Tamarit Motorcycles.

Toni Gandía, who bought Thruxt8n from Quique a few years ago and now, like someone coming home for Christmas, brought Thruxt8n back (not at Christmas, but in the middle of June) to redesign and transform it completely.

It was clear that the bike needed a good change, because after several years traveling to different cities for work, some falls and other time parked and unused in a parking lot in the coastal city of Malaga, Thruxt8n needed a facelift and a significant change.

Given the good connection that has always existed with Toni, the transformation process went smoothly. The ideas were very clear on both sides, a Cafe Racer style Thruxton, in a striking color and with a clear name from the beginning, Juna, chosen by Toni's mother.

Among the new parts that were included are the new side covers, the ¾ headlight and the front fairing adapted to this type of headlights. However, the most important work to be done was the mechanical restoration, because after years without use, with the passage of time Thruxt8n had degraded greatly in some points. That is why it was necessary to change the tires, chain, filters and oils, tires and some spokes. Some ideas included in the designs of recent times were also added, such as the oval dorsal attached to the cowl, which gave such good results in bikes like Black Moustache and Black Thunder.

The predominant color should be golden yellow at the client's request, and, on a black base, this color runs through all parts of the motorcycle by means of wide bands, which included exclusive designs of Triumph, Tamarit and the very name of the bike.

Simply this bike is our firstborn, the before and after, a way to close a beautiful cycle that after so many years and so many bikes presented leave you thinking about all the road traveled and all those bikes and parts sold by dozens of countries around the world to make the bike of each one a haven of peace and happiness made to measure.
