For this project we used a Thruxton 1200 R engine as the basis for the Cafe Racer transformation. A powerful engine that, for its predisposition to style, fit like a glove to be the basis on which the project would start.

Sophisticated speed

In the case of the 95 San Jorge, a combination of silver has been chosen for the fiber parts, with a coffee brown tone, present in the split leather of the seat upholstery, in the upper central band of the tank and in the hand grips. A sophisticated result that leaves prominence to the chrome and the most important modifications: the relocation of the electronics and the turbo.

Power turbo

More than 190 hp

The centerpiece of this project is undoubtedly the power turbo that has been adapted to the engine. It is a supercharging system that is responsible for compressing the air it receives from the outside and making more oxygen reach the combustion chamber, once this mixture reaches the cylinders, more power is generated.

Specifically, this turbo in chrome version, adds 60 hp to the engine, resulting in an incredible engine with more than 160 hp of power.

The Rotrex Turbo is the undisputed protagonist of this project, a part that has been a challenge for the workshop team. This unit offers the highest acceleration at low and medium engine speeds. Compressor speeds of up to 240,000 rpm result in superior acceleration and power delivery. Turbo benefits include: no throttle lag, progressive power, reduced peak cylinder pressures, reduced stress on engine components, increased efficiency due to no heat build-up and reduced exhaust gas temperatures.

This component is legal in the European Union but can only be used in closed circuits.

Engine Control Unit and wiring relocation.

New electronics

This bike has undergone two complicated processes. On the one hand, the central part of the bike has been rebuilt, where the original electronics of the bike is located, to relocate it and leave the characteristic hole under the seat. On the other hand, it has also been very complicated the installation of the engine control unit, which has had to be modified to adapt it to the Thruxton 1200R model.

A complicated job to execute, but that has resulted in a bike with high technology and minimalist finish.

This part was very complicated, the turbo had to be connected to the electronics of the bike and also to a Motogadget control unit that was going to be installed, but it was something that had never been done on the base of a Thruxton 1200 R. There was no Motogadget control unit compatible with the San Jorge turbo, so after many attempts, the solution was found.

Our team found a device that allowed the connection between a new generation bike and the Mo.unit. So this project has 3 different control units that allow the correct operation of the electronics of the bike, in addition to the relocation of the battery in a new metal box.

Chrome plating

A premium process

In this project, a chrome plating process has been carried out on parts such as engine covers, shock absorbers or the rear light. It is a chemical process that leaves the parts of our motorcycles shining like a mirror. Chrome, nickel plating or brass plating a part takes hundreds of hours of manual labor and craftsmanship. This process differentiates us and positions us as a premium motorcycle brand.

Gyroscopic LED headlight

State-of-the-art lighting

The adaptive gyroscopic LED headlight illuminates the road with great amplitude and will not abandon you even in curves, as it is a headlight that adapts its lights to accompany the movement of the handlebars, which provides greater safety. The most avant-garde lighting system on the market.

The gyroscopic headlamp has been enhanced to offer adaptive technology when using the high beam in addition to the low beam. It provides ditch-to-ditch illumination to eliminate dark corners on tight curves and a light punch 1,500 feet down the road for a safer ride. On-board intelligence senses lean angles when turning to control the light.

Fitting the bike, we find Heidenau K73 tires and chrome Kineo rims. We also see peeking our chaincovers.

Like all Tamarit projects, San Jorge displays its bagdes with the name of the project, this time they have been placed on the engine covers.

Tailor-made single-seater seat

Both front and rear turn signals have been renewed with a Motogadget version.

At the front, we find a new front fender painted in the same color as the tank and metal support detail.

Our chaincover can also be seen on the rear of the bike.

At the controls of this Tamarit, we find a handlebar of the Free Spirits brand and new chrome triple trees. Also noteworthy are the new Puig levers in black.
