Swingarm extension.
The swingarm has been replaced with one from a Thruxton 1200 to enhance an aerodynamic position, characteristic of the Cafe Racer style.
The bike #83, Claus, represents the impeccable union of a powerful engine and the most current classic esthetics. Innovation and tradition united by a Cafe Racer esthetic that knows how to make the most of an engine created to enjoy the speed and adrenaline of every ride.
When Jose Luis, owner of Claus, contacted us to ask for a quote on a Speed Twin, he was not very clear about how he wanted his project to be.
After a couple of conversations, we finally realized that we had to change the base of the bike and make the conversion on a powerful Thruxton 1200 R, much closer to the final result we wanted to achieve.
After defining the bike that would serve as the basis for the project, we could not but make a Cafe Racer style conversion that helps to enhance even the smallest detail of this engine. Undoubtedly, a perfect combination to represent this neoclassical style.
Speed and style come together in project 83, Claus, to present a powerfully beautiful motorcycle.
Jose Luis has been what we call "the perfect customer", because he has been carried away by the experience of the conversion process without seeing anything until the end. So much so, that we even had to call him to tell us the color of the bike, although finally, what was going to be a black bike, ended up being a beautiful white Cafe Racer.
The white color is also joined by gold-toned lines that help to give shape and depth to the overall design.
On this occasion, the project #83 has included a handmade seat and, for the first time, upholstered in camel-colored suede. A single seat that adds softness to the design and comfort while driving. In tune with the seat, a center line made of suede and polished steel has been added to the tank.
In Claus, another series of components and techniques have been incorporated to achieve the desired result:
The swingarm has been replaced with one from a Thruxton 1200 to enhance an aerodynamic position, characteristic of the Cafe Racer style.
Rear fender handmade from scratch to cover the tire.
Relocation and electronics removal to a special handmade case under the seat.
XXL sump guards that covers the entire front area of the chassis, including the radiator.
Gyroscopic LED headlight for safer driving in every bend.
Incorporation of Kineo rims for a more polished finish.
On the bike #83 the high Zard exhausts have been added, completing the Racer design.
Pirelli MT90 tires have been added to complete the project.
For project number 83, the Tamarit team has taken care of everything from start to finish. Jose Luis came to us looking for a bike, as he didn’t have one of his own and after looking for the best option on the market, we managed to buy the Thruxton 1200 R which is now the basis of his Tamarit bike.
Once the conversion was completed, Claus was sent to her owner’s doorstep, where he was finally able to see the final result of this Thruxton Cafe Racer.
The projects are tailor-made for each of our customers and then authorized by engineers to meet the basic standards to pass the vehicle inspections.
After finishing the conversion of the motorcycle, if the modification requires it, our engineers carry out the homologation of a technical project by which the motorcycle is allowed to circulate freely with the modifications made.
This has been a project in which we have enjoyed a lot, because the owner of the bike 83 has given us full confidence in terms of design and colors. He never called or even asked for a photo of the finished bike, as he wanted to live the experience to the fullest and be surprised with the final result, once he got home.
We would like to thank Jose Luis for his confidence in us and we are delighted that the final result has fascinated him as much as it has fascinated us.
