A major change

The stories of Tamarit's projects usually stand out for the way in which the project is developed, for the motorcycle that is adopted as a base, for the personality of the client, or obviously for the characteristics of the modification itself. We can say without hesitation that Malasangre is one of the most complete projects we have ever done in Tamarit, since in all the aspects mentioned above it is more than notorious.

The happy owner of Malasangre, Samuel, wanted a radical change in his bike, a Triumph Thruxton 1200 R, and at the end of August began the classic contact between client and company, in which are exchanged first impressions, concepts, ideas and obviously first amounts of what it would cost a modification similar to the one requested.

An anecdotal nickname

The first thing that caught our attention was the way in which Samuel pronounced "Tamarit", since in an attempt to Anglicize the name, he pronounced it "Tamarai", and that is how Samuel affectionately earned his nickname: "Samuel Tamarai". Of course, these conversations are only informational and promotional in nature, they have no contractual ties until the client decides to say yes at the beginning of the project. Samuel's answer was "yes" to our joy, as he also accompanied it with the magic words we always expect to hear from every customer: "This is the budget I have, do with it what you want, but I want a Tamarai motorcycle".

All hands on deck

The battle stations began to sound in all corners of Tamarit and the machinery was set in motion for one of the best projects this company has ever done.

Samuel wanted a strong transformation and he was not lying in his purpose, as modifications never before done on a Tamarit motorcycle were included, such as Kineo rims and new horn-shaped air filters from the Italian brand Free Spirits. Malasangre's colors were to be dark at the owner's request, but nevertheless we took some licenses in certain details such as linking the colors of the wheel hubs to the upholstery of the motorcycle, which share a beautiful and elegant burgundy color.

The jewels in our crown

Tamarit's usual parts in the transformations based on this Triumph Thruxton that could not be missing are for example our Tamarit belly pan valid for all air-cooled models, as well as our Monaco seat, essential piece for any classic Cafe Racer transformation in a new generation Thruxton R. All parts were painted to match the overall style of the bike, as well as the triple tree and swingarm were covered in black to be in perfect harmony with the engine covers imported from EMD, also available at Tamarit.

Even the tiniest details

A motorcycle customized in its entirety, specially the tiny details. All this things mentioned, Samuel wanted a distinct touch on the Thruxton bike, so we adapted our own-production exhausts we had initially for the Bonneville T120, which they resemble a lot to another best-selling part of the all time Tamarit catalogue, the Bocanegra exhaust, but this time on a twin version and on a 2 into 2 set.

The bike of his dreams

Another part that was modified from its original appearance was the Dakota cover kit, covers which had to be adapted to the new power filters that Samuel required for the bike of his dreams, while the list of Tamarit parts that would complete the project would be the rear fender eliminator kit, the chaincover and the classic short front fender. Other imported parts for this project would be the usual Motogadget contributions regarding the front and rear turning signals or the mirrors at the ends of the grips.

Shiny and aggressive

Malasangre was released along with the Laia project in our showroom as usual. The covering fabric unveiled once again a new project, shiny and aggressive, which joined the Tamarit Motorcycles family once Samuel fired up the engine and revved his new tuned up engine and made the walls of Tamarit Motorcycles shake together with the Scrambler Laia.

At full speed

Samuel was able to transmit that excitement and peculiar way of living along a motorcycle and we could make a build up to the standards he wanted to achieve, which resulted in him being totally satisfied and delighted. Just as somebody who wears sneakers for the first time right outside the shop, Samuel jumped in Malasangre and left burning tyre.
