2016 Triumph Thruxton

The 2016 Triumph Thruxton is an imposing classic motorcycle manufactured by Triumph bikes. The first time we heard this name was back in the late 60s. This motorcycle was named after a racetrack in Hampshire, England, after the British brand won first place in the Thruxton 500. However, it was in 2004 when the name was adopted into a new series of motorcycles.

In 2016 the British manufacturer decided to give major modifications to this motorcycle, updating the performance and technology, but maintaining the classic style. Since then, these motorcycles might as well be synonyms for power and speed. These are the main characteristics and updates of the Triumph Thruxton 2016 models.

The Thruxton 2016 is a classic motorcycle that has been described as a more sport-oriented motorcycle than the popular Bonneville. This neoclassic motorcycle not only stands out by the aesthetics, but also by the impressive performance given by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin 1200cc engine.

This motorcycle has an undeniable cafe racer style with a sport riding position given by the lower seat. The design of this bike is very minimalistic, available in Jet Black, Competition Green with a silver line on the tank, or Pure White with the fuel tank line in black.

The Triumph Thruxton 2016 1200 R has the same specs as the previous model, as well as the classic cafe racer style and the power of a sports-oriented motorcycle.

At first glance, the Thruxton 1200 and the Triumph Thruxton 1200 R from 2016 are pretty identical, besides the 6.6lbs weight difference. However, the biggest difference between these models are a few key components like the shock absorbing system, Brembo brakes, and the inverted forks; these elements also make quite a difference in the final price.

This motorcycle is available in Diablo Red and Silver Ice, also with silver elements and details in gold to complete the look.
